Yeah, I've been lucky, but it looks like the good times are about to end. The original owners passed on and their heirs (kids) are eager to sell the place and line their pockets, so THIS will be the last year its in existence.

Yea I read that.....sad to see it go another icon gone..sad now they want to rob you for the regular 20 plex movie theaters.....wish we were closer to go there.think we might take a DE trip this summer anyway as son as we can so we can check it out

Well we definitly won't be making it...cancelled our reservations (which cost me 30 ) :( and no camping!!! thats what really sucks
Dave got called to go up to Princeton for 4 days to clean up someones big mess.......I hate when they do that.
We were looking forward to some much needed R&R and the drive-in!! (I love those wish they still had them all over)
We now have to wait till the 29th before we can go (Niagara Falls)
We are going to miss the trip this weekend and next :( We were hoping to get in two mini trips before the two big ones but guess that won't be happening.
Anyone doing anything for the weekend of 7/24-7/27 ??

Man...jello shots and all and I probably will miss it:(
Jello shots can be mixed with just about anything ..the only thing I found that had a problem (in the setting of jello) was Grain alcohol (which why anyone would want to use/drink that anyway is beyond me)to much alcohol to harden up....and tequila (just use a little less water/tequila and it will work)
Strawberry Banana with rum is yum :)
Lime with tequila
peach jello with peach snapps one of the best :)
Strawberry with midori (mellon liquor)is good too
apple snapps with apple jello
vodka with any red jello is good
black cherry with berry snapps or rum is good
3/4 cup boiling water to 1 cup and 1 cup alcohol- 1 1/4 cup alcohol make sure they harden over night (if you use dixie cups you can tear the side down and eat them that way...if you use the little plastic shot glass cups (spray very lightly with pam) it helps the shots slide out unless of course you want to be trying to suck the shots out of the glass which thats all i'll say on that :)

Oh Well......we may not be able to make this trip to killens like planned. Dave has been so busy we have alot to do and this is the weekend before we leave for Niagara Falls :( We are still working on it but we may need to cxl Hopefully we will no by the end of the week.

After seeing one in person too.....I don't think you can really appreciate the size and how much wood this would really hold!!! LOL
It would be one heck of a bonfire......the whole STATE would see it!!

Hello everyone, Happy Memorial Day. Gary and I just got home from a beautiful weekend of camping(sorry-for all of you who stayed home to do yard work). Just catching up on all the news, Love the ticker-thanks Robo, also love the wheel of fortune, You people really have too much time on your hands. However, I would LOVE to figure out how to get a photo as my signature--OH Mr Police office Robocop. Perhaps you can hold a class at our next rally.
Any ladies interested in those shirts? If you want maybe I can do a group order and save on some shipping charges.

Of course... The AMC Museum is open every day if you'd like to tour it on your own, and I'd be happy to lead a tour through the C-5 (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday).
All it takes is two minutes to call command post and it might be a few hundred yards walk depending on which plane they tell me is open versus the nearest entry control point.
As I mentioned, I can't get everyone's car on-base at once, so it may take a few trips. But believe me, you've never seen anything like it...

Hey...we actually saw one of these (silly me didn't know it was a c-5 ) and did a tour in one and several other ones at an air show at patrick airforce base in floida when Dave use to work there) They are hugh!! very cool especially if you never saw one before!!

Well we have been going non-stop since we left GB and I'm sorry to hear of some peoples bad misfortune, I hope all is well and all are up and about soon. We made it home safely TG but have to get a new front tire and fix a leak we found :( on the way home around the windshield minor stuff.
We apologize for not saying goodbye to more folks before heading out but we had to head out early for a birthday party. We did say good bye to a few folks we saw up and about on the way out.
We want to thank everyone (Jim/Vicki/Sandy/Shirley and everyone else that helped make the weekend special including Beverly and the folks at DB Campground and hope to see them all again sometime.
We also want to say we met alot of REALLY nice folks I just wish the weather was a little better so we could have gotten to meet more and hang out alittle more. We're sorry we missed (sat night campfire)Sharon & Franks especially after seeing the log offering to the campfire god LOL but when we headed down it was starting to rain and we saw a bunch of people leave so we didn't go :( next time we'll know better LOL
USGC (Gwen) next time you will get to see the coolers actually run :)
Robo....thanks for putting up with us at your campfire. I'm glad you were only next door cause i'm not sure I would have made it further :)

Yes, the weed whacking crew was in full swing (no pun intended) upon our arrival today. The mosquitoes are definitely here as well.
At least I got a fire in before it rained.
Be careful on the roadways. Some fool at 140 and 97 decided not continue in his dedicated right turn lane and at the last second, after running out of room and at the traffic island, he was considering taking my right of way as I was travelling about 50 mph down a hill heading for the on ramp to 97. I laid on the horn and began to prepare for the CRASH. Of course the driver was still on his cell phone looking at all of us as if we did had done something wrong.
Oh Dave. Your site is way too big for your patio mat so we moved you to another one.
Which Dave are you refering too??? Us??
We should be arriving bout 1-2 if all goes well....we'll see.

By this time tomorrow evening, we hope to be settling into our chairs, with a cold one, in front of a roaring campfire! R&R, HERE WE COME! LOL!

We are so ready for this...I just hope we can make it at all now...we have had the worst week I really need this trip NOW!!
This week has been a mess.....first work didn't pay for some of the jobs so checks were wrong then they took part of the work away for the following week because of someones mess up....then we found out the only one there that can usually fix the messes is leaving.
Then I tried to go to work and my car won't start and its broke down....then hubby called just now and he is stuck on road because the tongue of the trailer broke off and he is way up in brick today.
He is loaded with equipment and a customers order that has to be done today and its already almost two and it is a 4-5 hour job...we still have to pack /shop/ load and figure out how we are going to get him home with the trailer and get the job done.
Still have a ton of cooking that has to be done and can't get to store to get stuff till he gets home since I have no car.....
Then to top it all off ...ready for this one .....one of the puppies chewed up my husbands BRAND new plate for his teeth (this should be great fun, he now has no front teeth till we can get it fixed/re-made) Maybe Chris is right about animals LOL never thought a dog would eat teeth !!
This is one week I don't want to repeat.
Then the weather is suppose to be bad too.....we just can't catch a break
***sigh**** I need a MAJOR DRINK......
